We are all worth so much more than we realize.
Talking about Skylar & her life isn't easy, especially when you know the ending. Telling her story, remembering & talking about her keeps her memory alive. Skylar was more than how she died. She lived & helped others with their mental illnesses; no one thought Skylar would ever take her own life. We love you Skylar.
Skylar was always ready for an adventure! She loved to travel from the east coast, Florida, Alabama, Colorado, California, Seattle, and more. Growing up she spent most of her summers at the Lake of the Ozarks. She enjoyed camping and was always ready for a road trip!
Skylar graduated high school in 2021 and was part of the National Honor Society, president of the S.A.F.E. club and heavily involved in the Overland Park Police Explorers program. Skylar wanted more and started taking college classes after graduation. She was interested in psychology and veterinary services.
Skylar was a friend to all. If you were lucky enough, you were her family. She would protect those she loved at all costs. She was the best big sister, and oldest cousin to about 13! Skylar loved to babysit, she was wonderful at interacting with kids. And an even better big sister! Skylar always wanted to make sure everyone was ok.
